Tourists at Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul Temple, Tabanan Regency, Bali, can watch the Gebogan Cultural Parade from Thursday (22/12/2022) to next Thursday (29/12/2022), or before Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 (Nataru).

"We hope that this tourism will be packaged in a cultural package to increase tourist visits to the Island of the Gods, Bali," said the Public Relations Officer for the Ulun Danu Bedugul Temple Tourism Object, Made Sukarata, quoted from Antara, Saturday (24/12/2022).

For your information, gebogan is an offering in Hindu prayers, in the form of an arrangement of fruit, flowers and other foods combined with a string of coconut leaves on a tray. Gobogan is generally carried by mothers on their heads.

At Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul Temple, the gobogan will first be paraded around the area twice, then taken to the temple. This parade involved 12 traditional villages, six kelian villages in the Baturiti region, and two panebaya fathers. Apart from increasing visits, this parade aims to introduce Balinese culture to tourists.

"After the pandemic, tourist visits have increased, starting today we are holding a gebogan parade and in the future we will hold this parade every year as an effort to attract tourists to come to Bedugul," said Made. He continued, visits by foreign tourists (tourists) to the Ulun Danu Beratan Bedugul Temple have also increased. If usually there are 500 people recorded per day, now it has increased to 800 people per day.
